02/03/13 Bangor 2 - 1 Loughgall
Bangor made heavy weather of this must-win game with both teams cancelling each other out in a dull first half going in at the interval scoreless. the only Bangor effort of note was a great cross from Andy Long on the right which Ryan Murray just couldn't stretch to.
Bangor started much brighter in the second half but still found scoring opportunities few and far between and fans and management alike must have started to worry a goal was not going to come. A corner from the right looked a certain goal but Ryan Murray managed to head it over the bar from 3 yards out. Frustration turned to joy on the hour when another wonderstrike of a free kick from Tommy Lambe from 25 yards out rattled the underside of the crossbar and went into the net off the Loughgall keeper. Bangor doubled their lead shortly after when Lambe scored again from 6 yards, this time with his right foot. Loughgall tried desperately to get back into the game and managed to pull a goal back a few minutes from time from a corner on the left which was conceded when a back pass from Dean Youle put new keeper Darren Gibbons under pressure to clear. The corner over shot the goal but was turned back in to the goalmouth and tapped in from close range.

23/02/13 Limavady Utd 3 - 1 Bangor.
B angor started the game at pace and had the ball in the net in the first minute with a terrific strike from Thomas Lambe. The ball struck the inside of the stanchion and rebounded out. Bangor had the linesman to thank as, initially the ref had waved play-on as he thought it had hit the post. Limavady equalised through a great header from a corner and then went 2- 1 in front with what appeared to be an error by keeper Gibbons. Bangor piled on the pressure to get the equaliser in the second half introducing subs Dalzell, McLaughlin and Giggs. They hit the bar and the post and had other attempts cleared off the line. Bangor were hit by a sucker punch when Limavady grabbed their third not long before the final whistle. If any positives can be taken from this defeat it would be the battling performance put in by the team.

Bangor took on Derriaghy CC at Clandeboye Park in the 5th Round of the Intermediate Cup this afternoon. With most of the new signings having to sit this one out due to being cup-tied it was a very different side than had played the Glens the week before. Bangor were rocked back on their feet in the opening seconds when Derriaghy sneeked in to capitalise on a defensive mix up. Things got even worse when Bangor defender Brian Hylands was sent off for a tackle from behind only minutes later. Bangor got back on terms when the experienced Pater Kennedy managed to head into his own net after keeper Marc Robinson was drwan awy from his net. Protests from Robinson saw him yellow carded. Derriaghy had the ball in the Bangor net again before half time but was ruled out for off side.
The early part of the second half saw Derrighy go in front again after a great header from a free kick. Bangor fought back and equalised through Beefy Armstrong getting on the end of a free kick from just inside their half which siled over everyone head for him to volley homw from close range. Bangor then went in front through a great move when Pixie McLaughlin sent over a great cross from the left for new boy Michael Doran to slot home. Special mention must be made of Dean Justin who stood in as keeper again and made some terrific saves to keep Bangor in the game.

09/02/2013 Irish Cup Round 6 Bangor v Glentoran.
After an early morning pitch inspection the pitch was passed playable but rain throughout the afternoon made conditions extremely difficult. Bangor had new signings Michael Doran. Andy Hall and Mark Cooling on show but unfortunately new keeper Darren Gibbons was cup-tied and Bangor had the bring young Dean Justin into goal. Bangor started brightly with two superb goals in 11 minutes to rock the Glens. An upset seemed to be on the cards but the Glens regrouped and stepped things up a gear to go in at the break 3-2 up. The Glens pressed in home in the second half and scored another 2 to make the final score 5-2 but the Bangor lads did themselves proud and will go forward in the League with renewed confidence to lift themselves into the safety zone. Bangor FC would like to thank M. Tommy Campbell the Glentoran Safety Officer and his stewards for their assistance during the day.

Bangor ran out 2-0 victors in today's Intermediate Cup 4th Round tie against Dungiven Celtic at Ballygruddin, Dungiven. In poor weather conditions on a heavy pitch Bangor played the better football and went in at half time 1-0 up thanks to a terrific strike by free-kick specialist Thomas Lambe. In the second half Bangor were playing into the wind and seemed to sit back for a period and let Dungiven come at them. New boys Gibbons and Doran acquitted themselves with Darren looking comfortable in goals while Michael ( who had earlier won the free kick for the first goal) laid the ball off for Lambe to slot home from 10 yards. The draw for the next round should take place very soon and wil be announced here on the website.

Bangor continued their poor run of league form into the new year when they crashed 1 v 5 to east Belfast side, Dundela at Wilgar Park.
Dundela were 4 up in the first half and Bangor's only consolation was a late penalty from player-manager Garth Scates.
Dundela took the lead on 10 minutes when Willie Faulkner had the simple task of side footing the ball into the Bangor net and in the 25th minute visiting keeper Dickey, in an attempt to clear, unfortunately hit his centre-half and the ball fell kindly to Faulkner who simply walked the ball home for his second. His hat-trick arrived on 34 minutes following
a long throw which he volleyed sweetly into the Bangor goal.
